This year the Law Society, University College Cork will host its 10^th Annual Law Conference. The Law Conference is a central fixture on the Law Society’s calendar and is a major feature of the Society’s educational function.

The Law Conference is a student organised event which is the largest of its kind in an Irish University setting. It seeks to bridge the gap between law in theory, as taught in the lecture theatres, and its practical application in the world of legal practice. It compliments immensely the terrific legal curriculum offered by the UCC Law Faculty with the insight it offers into how law applies outside of the educational setting. Such insight is provided by a range of speakers comprising academics and practitioners. This year’s conference will be held in Devere Hall in the Student Centre in November.

The Law Conference is organised by a committee of students under the direction of this year's Conference Director , Mr. James Cullinane. The committee is composed of eight members and applications are now being received and interviews will be held early in the term.
